Delete your Pairly account.
1. Delete it yourself
Sign in, open Account, then Delete account. Type your email address to confirm. The account is deleted as soon as you confirm.
In the Pairly mobile app: [OWNER REVIEW: the Android app’s menu path to Delete account, once it ships]
2. Without the app, or if you cannot sign in
[OWNER REVIEW: the process for deleting an account on request when the person cannot sign in: there is no admin path for an ordinary account yet. The page needs the support address, how the request is verified, and the response time]
3. What is deleted and what is kept
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no waiting period.
Deleted straight away: your name and email address, your password, passkeys and linked Google, Apple or Microsoft sign-ins, every signed-in session, your membership of every business, and any invitations sent to you. We email a confirmation to your old address.
Kept without your details: a record that the account existed (its internal id, marked deleted), so work and history inside a business still point somewhere. Your name and email address are removed from it.
Being verified: [OWNER REVIEW: what remains, and for how long, in event history, logs and uploaded files after an account is deleted]
Not deleted: the businesses you belong to and the records they hold, because each business owns its own data. That includes invoices and other financial records, which a business may have to keep by law [OWNER REVIEW: retention period for financial records, e.g. five years for SARS]. Work you did inside a business stays with it, credited to “Deleted user”. Copies a business holds of your address (for example a connected calendar or a contact record) are the business’s to remove.
If you are the only owner of a business that still has other people on its team, make someone else an owner, or remove them, first. We will tell you which business is blocking the deletion. A business with nobody else on it does not block deletion: it stays, with no owner.
Backups: [OWNER REVIEW: how long deleted account data can remain in database backups (point-in-time restore is kept 35 days)]
The Privacy Notice lists everything we collect and how long each kind of data is kept.
